Tuesday is market day...and so is Friday! Fresh produce has pride of place with vegetables, local produce, poultry, etc. Stroll around the colourful stands abound with quality produce for a delicious lunch with your family. And don't forget to have a drink on a terrace before lunch.
General market: Tuesday mornings from 8am to 2pm
Food market: Friday mornings from 8am to 2pm.

Markets in the area
Haut-Poitou wine, Montmorillon macaroons, walnut oil, goat's cheese, Haut Poitou melon, craft beer...the Poitou area abounds with delicious treats to savour while you are here, or to take home to share with friends.
La Roche-Posay tourist information centre organises markets in the surrounding area where you will find many artists...shop to the sound of barrel organs and acccordeons. The markets open late in the afternoon, so you can take home a local speciality for dinner.
